Kidscan Placement Student

I am a Biomedical Science student at the University of Salford since 2014. In September 2017 I joined Salford NanoLAB as a placement student working under the supervision of Dr. Zeljka Krpetic on a project funded by a charity organization "Kidscan Children’s Cancer Research".

The benefits of this opportunity offered to Salford University UG students are invaluable, such as improving my laboratory skills and learning skills for developing cutting-edge research such as synthesizing and characterization of nanoparticles. Another major factor of the placement is to have fun while learning.

I would highly recommend placement experience at Salford NanoLAB to anyone that is willing to broaden their scientific knowledge.

My research project at Salford NanoLAB aims to investigate new nanoparticle formulations as radiation enhancing anticancer medicine.

After graduation, my plan is to continue the postgraduate studies to enhance my BSc (Hons) degree.
